11/07/06 - Van Halen to Tour in 2007
Rumor has it that the band will go with a new singer and are in talks to have Phil Anselmo join the
group....Can you imagine that? We are kidding, but the reunion apparently is not a joke. They have yet
to name a vocalist, but Eddie Van Halen recently said he would be open to working with David Lee Roth.
The Feed is reporting that THE spokesperson for Eddie Van Halen has confirmed that the band will tour in 2007 and are currently
rehearsing and writing with Eddie's son handling the bass duties.
"Yes...Wolfgang [is] the new bass player for the band and, yes, he has been in the studio with his dad and uncle
rehearsing and writing for an upcoming summer 2007 tour," Eddie's rep Janie Liszewski said. "Wolfgang most certainly
has inherited the Van Halen musical genius gene. At 15 years of age his knowledge, understanding, skill, and command
of multiple instruments is impressive."
