It's a top honor for the Kink's frontman Ray Davies as he was saluted at the 2006 London Awards, held by BMI on October 3rd at the ceremony held at London's Dorchester Hotel.

Broadcast Music Inc (BMI) honored the top European songwriters, composers and publishers at the gala, including other awards going to Other awards went to Per Gessle and Mats Persson (Roxette) for the song 'Listen To Your Heart'; Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett for Gorillaz' 'Feel Good Inc' and Stuart MacKillop, Maggie Reilly and Peter Risavy for Cascada's 'Everytime We Touch'

Davies is currently on tour promoting his latest release "Other People's Lives" and according to his website; there are talks of a second solo effort to be released in 2007:
