09/07/06 - Bon Jovi Gets CMA Nomination
That's right; the New Jersey rocker has landed a Country Music Association nomination for Musical
Event of the Year for his performance and chart topping country hit with Jennifer Nettles, "Who Say's
You Can't Go Home" at last years CMA's held in New York's Madison Square Garden. The single was #1 on the Billboard
Hot Country Chart for two weeks, landing Bon Jovi the title of first rock band ever to have a #1 song on the Country Chart.
In other Bon Jovi news, Jon Bon Jovi and fashion designer Kenneth Cole will collaborate to launch a limited edition
outerwear collection to raise money for the homeless. The collection will be available at Kenneth Cole in
New York, as well as Saks Fifth Avenue, this November. Proceeds will benefit HELP USA, a non-profit dedicated
to empowering the homeless to become and remain self reliant. You can get a sneak peak at the new line tonight
(9.7.06) at the Fashion Rocks event, where Jon will wear one of the jackets on the red carpet.
