My first ever MAGICAL CANDY CANE AWARD goes to this film 'cuz it is the BEST Christmas movie ever!!! It is my all time fave holiday treat and I watch it every year. If you have not seen it, promise me that this Christmas you will. You won't be sorry. I know you trust me. So, you got JIMMY STEWART, who is just the sweetest actor to have ever lived. I cried the day I heard he died. He is perfectly cast as GEORGE BAILEY, a guy who is having a wee bit of trouble. However, his prayers are heard and an ANGEL comes and helps him. The rest is cinematic history. This film is simply a work of art. Filmed in beautiful black and white (DO NOT FALL FOR THE COLORIZED VERSION!!!), the photography is stunning. The script is marvelous. The acting is amazing. You got DONNA REED, LIONEL BARRYMORE, GLORIA GRAHAME and the actor who plays CLARENCE. The other actors are all perfectly cast. FRANK CAPRA rocks!! I will say it again, FRANK CAPRA rocks!! I have to call this a perfect film, it is simply perfect. JIMMY STEWART I LOVE YOU!!! So, cuddle up to your fire, have some cookies and, enjoy.
