Hidey Ho! Things are good here. I just really can't complain. The weather in Marin is warm and the water is cold! How 'bout them OLYMPICS? Go TEAM USA!!! I love those swimmers!!! I like watching the gymnastics and volleyball, too. I have never been to CHINA, sadly, but I hope to someday! It sure looks fab!! K, now on to the film. This film has been recommended to me over the years by a number of folks and I finally, listened to them. I should have listened to them sooner. But, hey, who knows, everything in it's time, right?

I have to admit I have a bit of a crush on MICKEY ROURKE(9 1/2 WEEKS) and I just want to get it out there. You never know. So, the story focuses on the relationship between ROURKE and his cousin brilliantly played by ERIC ROBERTS(JULIA'S BRO). His cousin gets him involved in a horse betting scam and it all goes wrong. DARRYL HANNAH(SPLASH) plays ROURKE'S girlfriend and GERALDINE PAGE(SWEET BIRD OF YOUTH) is amazing as per usual. The funny script is written by VINCENT PATRICK. The main reason to see this film is for the acting! EVERYONE IS REALLY, REALLY GOOD! The chemistry between ROURKE and ROBERTS is delightful. I really enjoyed the lightness of the script, too. It is not easy to do a crime action comedy and do it well. But there it is. I think the film is based on a book. Did I mention that GERALDINE PAGE is in this! What a treat it is to watch her. She was nominated for an ACADEMY AWARD, so yeah. On a final note, I just wanna say that I think MICKEY ROURKE is one of the most HOT men of all time. It's not jus' cuz' he is gorgeous, he is an AMAZING ACTOR, and he just knows how to tickle an girl's intelligence!!! So, I hope to meet him someday so I could tell this to him in person someday, OK UNIVERSE?
