11/07/06 - Lack of Ticket Sales Reported as Reason for GNR Cancellation
Portland fans didn't get to see the Guns n Roses show, but they did get to see them tear it apart. WGME is reporting that
only 3000 tickets were sold, out of a possible 6500 for their show at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland. Guns n Roses
management stated that the cancellation was caused by, "limitations imposed by local fire marshals." You be the judge. You can view

D'molls have reunited and original members Billy Dior (a.k.a. Billy McCarthy; drums), Desi Rexx (vocals, guitar),
Lizzy Valentine (bass), and S.S. Priest (guitar) will open for the '80s tribute band METAL SKOOL
at the Key Club in West Hollywood, California on Monday, January 22, 2007.

As recently reported Iron Maiden has decided not to renew their management contract with Sanctuary Group PLC.
Rod Smallwood, who had co-founded Sanctuary in the 70's, discovered the band in '79 and has been their manager ever
since. Smallwood is also leaving Sanctuary and will continue to manage the band through his new company,
Phantom Music Management. Sanctuary will continue to work with the band through touring, retail and merchandising, as well
as acting as their US record company.

Can it get any better? Looks like we are getting closer to a classic Black Sabbath line-up reunion. This is the statement on
Tony Iommi's website, "The highly anticipated reunion of Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi,
Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward appears to be shaping up and taking a
new form. After various promoters have approached their respective
management; the guys have started taking all of this very seriously,
as they have wanted to reunite for some time now. It looks as if the new
shape may be that of Heaven and Hell - that's the moniker that the band is likely to use on their new venture.
If all goes well, Heaven and Hell should be hitting the road in early 2007."
As ridiculous as it seems, the band is no longer able to use the name Black Sabbath, without Ozzy.

Former DOKKEN guitar wizard Alex De Rosso is putting together a new band with singer Michele Luppi (VISION DIVINE), drummer Bob Parolin and bassist Roby Galli. "We are writing some amazing tracks!" says De Rosso. "We will start the recording of the album soon."
De Rosso's last solo album, "The Thin Line Between Black and White", came out in 2002 via Atrheia/Edel.

In what will be the first ever televised "Fuse Fangoria Chainsaw Awards", Rob Zombie was awarded "Relationship From Hell" Award for the performance of Zombies wife, Sheri Moon, and actor Bill Moseley for their performance in his horror flick "The Devil's Rejects." The award was presented Sunday night to Zombie by Robert "Freddy Kruger" Englund on Sunday night at the Orpheum Theatre.
The entire program will be broadcast Oct. 22nd on Fuse Television.
