11/06/06 - Rolling Stone Once Again Salutes Hair Metal
Rolling Stone magazine recently admitted
to the happenings of a type of "Hair Metal Renaissance". The article mentions the recent success of Def
Leppard, Poison and Cinderella, Guns n Roses and Sebastian Bach as proof. Steve Cook of O'Reily's commented,
"You know when Rolling Stone jumps on the bandwagon, whatever it is, will already be in full swing. It seems
everyone has forgiven themselves for loving the 80's and there are kids wanting, I have seen it with my own eyes, there
are kids trying to look like Nikki Sixx.....BOYS AND GIRLS. Plus all these guys are getting older and I think everyone
realizes that it won't be forever. But I won't call it a full renaissance until bands like Black n Blue could reunite and
have a successful tour. The big ones are big again,
less than they were in the 80's, but more than they were in the 90's and I am sure they appreciate it a lot more than they
did. If not somebody needs to diddle their mama."
