11/03/06 - Yeah, but can he sing like Michael Anthony?
Apparently, Wolfgang Van Halen is now the bassist of Van Halen. His dad, Eddie Van Halen, recently hinted
that this would happen, but who took him seriously? They are still in need of a vocalist and rumor has it, that
Diamond David Lee Roth will once again take the helm. So, let me get this right. Michael Anthony has been in the
band the entire time, beginning in the 70's and David Lee Roth is fired / quit in the mid-80's. And now, Michael Anthony is no longer welcomed by
the Van Halen camp and David Lee Roth is? Does something smell bad? It's not a Van Halen reunion without the original bassist, who aside from
being a great bass player, also has some of the most recognizable backing vocals in the industry. Don't be ridiculous. Who doesn't want a reunion with
Roth, but without Michael Anthony, it's not as cool. Dr. Miser recommends a big dose of "GET OVER YOURSELF" and bring David Lee Roth back the right way and
