10/25/06 - DEEP PURPLE "Stormbringer" Multi-Tracks Located
According to
Deep-Purple.net, the 1974 Stormbringer multi-tracks have been located and are reportedly in excellent condition. The lost tapes include three different vocals for 'Soldier Of Fortune', an instrumental version of 'Highball Shooter'
and the original backwards version of David Coverdale's bit at the beginning of the albums title track. The Stormbringer album featured a historic lineup of David Coverdale on vocals, Ritchie Blackmore on guitar, Glenn Hughes on bass, Jon Lord on keyboards and Ian Paice on drums. There are plans to remaster the record and Glenn Huhges has already voiced his interest in working on the remixes at the end of his tour and says that the public can expect the remastered release in Spring of 07.
