10/19/06 - Ron Keel Lyrics to Appear in Cowboy Poetry Book
The lyrics to a Ron Keel song, entitled "Haunted Saloon", will appear
in a new book: "Cowboy Poetry Of The Southwest". The poems were compiled by John Abernathy
of Albuquerque New Mexico. Ron commented, "Through the years, I have been very fortunate to have experienced so many different thrills that this business has to offer - I've been a rock star, a country singer, an actor, a producer, a songwriter, done almost
every aspect of the business behind the scenes, and lots more - and now, I can add 'Cowboy Poet' to my resume."
The book is scheduled for release before the holidays, and will be available at
www.ronkeel.com, at my gigs, and
elsewhere online and in retail stores.
Net proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to the
International Society for the Protection of Mustangs and Burros (ISPMB); the group runs a
sanctuary up in South Dakota.
