10/12/06 - DAVID BOWIE Meets SpongeBob SquarePants
David Bowie recently revealed that he will have a guest appearance on the hit cartoon from Nickelodeon
"SpongeBob SquarePants", playing a character named "Lord Royal Highness". The episode is scheduled to air next year.
According to Bowie, he and his 6-year-old daughter, Alexandria Zahra, are a huge fans of the show, which they regularly watch together. His online blog states that he's "hit the Holy Grail of animation gigs". "We, the family, are thrilled. Nothing else need happen this year, well, this week anyway,"
Of course plenty more is in store for the 59 year old rocker who received a lifetime achievement honor at this years Grammys. For starters, he plays inventor and electrical engineer Nikola Tesla in Christopher Nolan's upcoming movie "The Prestige," which will be in theaters on October 20th.
