10/05/06 - The WHITE STRIPES go Aluminum and Vinyl with Classical Album
Produced by Joby Talbot and Richard Russell, Classical British players will take several
of the White Stripes songs and strip them down into classical renditions of the tunes to be released as "Aluminum". The songs have been recorded in Intimate Studios in London and in addition to a very limited-edition release, of only 3,333 copies on CD and 999 on vinyl, choreographer Wayne McGregor will use some of the songs in a ballet he created for the Royal Ballet to be staged next fall.
Aluminum will be available in an unlimited edition download as well. Pre-orders for the record start Nov. 6th.
