10/05/06 - Nadir D'Priest Reforms London

Full in Bloom Music exclusive: We received an email today from none other than Mr. D'Priest himself. It looks like Nadir will be reforming London, with plans of a new cd release, as well as, a series of European Tour Dates.

Below is an excerpt from the official press release:

As of June 2006, the legendary LA band London has reformed with Nadir D'priest(lead vocals)and Eddie St.James (guitars,ex-Jon Dunmore band, Richard Grieco ). Nadir and Eddie are currently working on songs and demos for what will become the first cd release, since 1991's Playa del Rock. As of now, there is not yet a working title for the new album, but the songs have been written and are in the process of being arranged and prepared for the new CD. Eddie has stated that he had written many great AOR / hard rock songs back in '91 for his 2nd ESJ - Project album that he was forced to abandon. He also feels that these songs were meant for a singer like Nadir D'priest, who is also a longtime friend of Eddie's. "We're not here to prove or disprove anything to anybody, we just want to have fun and make some music together".

London recently signed on with the German RB-Management & Promotion and has already received several offers from various major German record labels. Eddie is very excited about playing in a group together with his old pal Nadir, who has gained an unfair reputation as being the unluckiest musician in the history of rock and roll! - "Nadir has done work and recorded albums with people like Fred Coury (Cinderella), Matt Sorum (Guns&Roses/Velvet Revolver), Ron Woods (Rolling Stones) and members of the band "House of Lords"-etc., and is a highly respected musician by both his peers and fans". London is planning on presenting it's new material in early 2007 followed by a European tour along with some other well known rock bands. Eddie stated that a dream of his is to work again with another very old friend, Marti Frederiksen ( Ozzy, Aerosmith, Johnny Lang, Def Leppard -etc. ) as the producer for the new London CD. Occasionally Eddie acted as Marti's drum roadie way back in their high school days, around 1978 for one of Marti's first bands, named Road Crew. A new London web site with some audio / visual clips will be up and running soon.
