Paul Westerberg (Replacements) along with guitar maker First Act, who launched the Westerberg signature Model and Volkswagen have come together to give new VW customers a brand new six-string that can be played right through the car's stereo system. The promotion will run through the end of the year.

Drivers who buy or lease specialized versions of six VW cars will receive a First Act GarageMaster electric guitar. Each guitar features the VW logo along with the corresponding car's vehicle identification number and will be fitted with colored pick guards that match the exterior color of the car.

John Mayer, Slash and Christopher Guest (as his "Spinal Tap" character Nigel Tufnel) will appear in ads promoting the partnership
