Well, the New Year is here and I have made a few resolutions. Most people I talk to either make them and break them ASAP, or there are those who get cranky and say, "I never make resolutions, that's stupid". So, what's a girl to do but listen to her own inner voice? My first New Years' resolution of 2009 is to enjoy myself. My second resolution is well, that's for another time. This next film totally shocked me in the first ten minutes, and I just love to be shocked. Don't you?

I have to admit that this is one of my fave comedies of the year. I was very, pleasantly surprised, I was thinkin' it was just gonna be another one of those very cute and slightly funny romantic comedies. You know, they rise just above mediocre. Well, I am happy to report that I was wrong. This was a really good movie. I will say it again; this was a really good movie. I have to admit that it had me when JASON SEGEL's character took off his clothes. Hooray for male nudity!!! You go, honey! The story is simple, JASON SEGEL's girlfriend, well played by KRISTIN BELL (GOSSIP GIRL), dumps him for a rock star. He is broken hearted and heads to HAWAII (which is what I always do to recover from heartache). His ex is on the island, too and well, the rest is the movie. JONAH HILL (SUPERBAD) is in this and he is always such a joy to watch, his comic timing is fantastic. MILA KUNIS is great as the island girl and all the supporting roles are well cast and solid. Look for the guy from that fab MARIAH CAREY video. The real reason to see this film, in my opinion, is for the male nudity. That's I all can say.
