DEFINITELY, MAYBE

Hi. I am writing this from an ice floe in Antarctica. Ha, jut teasin'. I have always wanted to go there, though. I would like to check out Alaska, too. I have met some really cute fireman from there. They were in town looking for wives to take back and live with them in Alaska. A few of them were really cute, but hmmm, really didn't sound that fun. Okay, speaking of cute, the actor in this next film has got to be one of the cutest, young actors around.

So, CUTE is the word that best describes this film. RYAN REYNOLDS (WAITING) is CUTE. The little girl who plays his daughter is CUTE. The script is CUTE. The outfits are CUTE. The women in his life are all CUTE, RACHEL WEISZ (THE CONSTANT GARDNER) is more gorgeous than cute but well....., you get my drift. RYAN REYNOLDS is a dad who tells his daughter the story of how her parents got together. There are three women in his life and only one of them is her mother. A very CUTE twist on your standard Romantic comedy script. However, despite the fact that KEVIN KLINE (THE BIG CHILL) is in this, sadly, for way too short a time, and that everyone in the film is cute and that RYAN REYNOLDS is super cute. The film doesn't really veer above mediocre. I wanted to see more of KEVIN KLINE and RACHEL WEISZ. They had nice chemistry and interesting characters. The script kind of bored me, it could have been shortened. MR. REYNOLDS is cute and talented and unfortunately I don't think this film really shows what a good actor is he. I recommend watching him in any of his other movies. This film is worth seeing, don't get me wrong. I guess I had just set my expectations a bit higher, and was a tad disappointed. It is typical Romantic Comedy fare. You know, CUTE. No more, no less.
