THE DARK KNIGHT
- Mitzi J. Johnson
It is that time of the year, folks, that the wonderful world of film is honored with that fab gold statue. I really, really want one. Don't you? I held a MTV music video award once, sadly, I have to say that is the closest I have gotten to the naked golden one. So, universe, are you listening? This next film is nominated for at least one ACADEMY AWARD and won a GOLDEN GLOBE.

I was very sad to hear 'bout Mr. Ledger's untimely death. He was a very talented actor, a great loss to the world of movies. I have to admit it was a bit creepy to watch this film, knowing he died while they were still making it. He is really one of the main reasons to see this film. I am a fan of BATMAN BEGINS, I thought it was a great super hero movie and CHRISTIAN BALE was fantastic as BRUCE WAYNE aka BATMAN. Everyone raved 'bout this one, so I thought it would be better than the last one, which was really good, so, wow, it must be super good, right? Wrong! I was disappointed. The script lost its umph. Some of the scenes were way too long. CHRISTIAN BALE was okay, but seemed restrained. AARON ECKHART is the other reason to see this film. The other actors are okay. They say that GARY OLDMAN, ANTHONY MICHAEL HALL and ERIC ROBERTS were in this film. I either didn't recognize them or just forgot 'bout them. Not a good sign. The special effects were okay. The film is worth seeing, don't get me wrong. Amazing, it was not. Better than the last SUPERMAN movie, yes.
Toodles,
Mitzi
