Aloha!! I wish I was in MAUI right now, but no, I'm in a really super snowy place. Fortunately, I have tons of hot cocoa. Soo, this next film is a recommendation from my friend Carl (not his real name), I hope you enjoy it, I certainly did.

I will just say right off the bat that I dug this film. I mean, really, who just doesn't adore a story 'bout a real life bank robbery? Apparently, this film is based on a true story. A British Bank was robbed in 1971. I don't know what all is true in the movie but it is good. JASON STATHAM (CRANK) is well cast as the car dealer who needs money fast and jumps at the chance when a woman from his past comes to him with a proposition. SAFFRON BURROWS is perfect as the ex-model turned bank robber. The supporting actors are simply wonderful! This film is very well cast. I loved the guy who played the ex-porn actor. I think what was great 'bout this film is that the characters were all so believable. These were normal folks living slightly on the edge of society and pull off a crime that hooks them up with people with tremendous power and wealth. Kind of fascinating, if you ask me. It was suspenseful especially during the actual robbing of the bank. I thought that was really cool. So, check this film out a) if you like movies 'bout bank robbers b) if you like JASON STATHAM c) all of the above. Thanks to Carl for the rec. He is a JASON STATHAM fan and loves all his movies.
