Hidey Ho and all that Jazz! So, I have left the snow for the beach. Sun is a good thing in the winter. I am going to soak up as may rays as I can before I head back to Blizzard land. I dunno, maybe I won't go back. So, one of my fave actors is in this next film, but that doesn't mean that I loved it. Here we go!

So, I thought the previews of this movie were better than the actual film. Tres sad, if you ask me. It is not BAD and I definitely think it is worth the watch, but I was a bit disappointed in the ending. I'm not sure who is at fault here. The film is based on a book, so is it the original story that I am not happy with? Who knows? You got a nerdy but cute MIT undergrad trying to get into HARVARD MED but he doesn't have the money. One of his Professors, played by KEVIN SPACEY (one of my fave actors), teaches him how to make the money by taking him to VEGAS every weekend. KATE BOSWORTH (SUPERMAN RETURNS) is in it and is good, the scenes in VEGAS are fab. LAURENCE FISHBURNE (BOYZ IN THE HOOD) is in it. Who doesn't love him? SO, you ask what is the prob? Well, I really thought it lost something in the last 30 minutes of the film. It went from good to kind of lame and predictable in 30 min. I was hoping for something more USUAL SUSPECT-ish, ya know? I guess I set my expectations a bit high, but when KEVIN SPACEY is in a film I think you expect it to be out of the ordinary. Had the ending been different I think it could have been really cool, but alas it wasn't, and like I said before I'm not sure who's fault that is, 'cuz' it could be that I have an issue with the book. If you like VEGAS and you like gambling you'll probably dig it.

Ta Ta,

Mitzi
