09/08/06 - First Album from THE BLACK CROWES in Six Years
It's official and the bands manager, Pete Angelus has confirmed that Chris and Rich Robinson have been in the studio in New York and Los Angeles working on the new record. Apparently, since the band reunited, the brothers have been writing a substantial amount of new material, which they are now sorting through with their long time friend and producer, Paul Stacey.

The recording sessions are rumored to continue at the end of the BLACK CROWES fall tour in November. The band hopes to release the new record sometime in 2007. The big question now is whether the band will release the new record independently or through a major label.

One thing is for sure, since their debut release Shake Your Money Maker in 1990, the BLACK CROWES have maintained a strong connection to their fans, while breaking free from standard industry rules and practices. It's their traditional Rock-n-Roll spirit that has earned them a place on the stage with legends such as Jimmy Page, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, AC/DC, The Who, Neil Young and The Grateful Dead among others.
